FILM FORCE

I was invited to participate in Film Force, a local Brooklyn film collective that seeks to give individuals with an interest in film an opportunity to test the waters and meet other like-minded aspiring filmmakers. In each round, up to five directors are chosen to shoot their interpretations of a dialogue-only skeleton script. No scene descriptions or narratives are provided. The directors each interpret the dialogue however they want and are tasked with shooting the short film that they envision.

LOUISE

I worked as cinematographer and editor for director and actress Tina Detchon to create this short film based on a script by Bryan Davis and Neil Lopez. Our interpretation explores the fractured personalities within each of us that somehow manage to cohere into the gestalt of daily consciousness, but that also underpin all the anxieties and neuroses of our inner thoughts. That and neat tongue tricks.
