Android’s core audience of tech enthusiasts made it a natural sponsorship partner for the world of Formula 1 racing. As part of Android’s partnership with the world famous McLaren F1 racing team, Android-powered devices help keep the entire organization, from drivers to race engineers, seamlessly and comprehensively connected at every single race day.

We wanted to showcase how Android devices play an integral role for the McLaren team, but rather than just listing the ways, we showed them in action with a fun challenge that saw McLaren’s star drivers, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, working together to get an RC car around a bespoke mini-circuit built inside McLaren’s HQ.

The resulting content piece was shared on Android’s YouTube and Instagram social channels, with complementary teaser videos also released on Shorts and Reels days ahead, revving up McLaren’s and Android’s fans for the main video drop.
